The Death of Hollywood and Cinema

Written by J.Zadoria April 5th 2022

With the recent trends in terms of the state of American film production it is becoming increasing clear that the art of film making itself is soon disappearing and giving way to woke culture and forced contrived narrative chock full of innuendos laced with political covert overtones that is merely disguised propaganda. Almost every TV show or film in recent times has some sort of forced political narrative or an agenda to normalize behaviors that subvert traditional values, such as homosexual relationships in almost every story, or a mention of being against populism or promoting such ideas of Climate change, open borders, or labeling “White people” as racist or being for and promoting false narratives such as “White Supremacy” are some recent examples. This of course is not to say that as being the author of this essay that I am trying to suggest my positions on political or social issues but stating the obvious that there is a trend to over represent a class or classes of people that seems contrived, forced thus taking away from films and or TV shows that otherwise would be considered entertainment. On the contrary, today’s films has some sort of inserted message to reinforce an ideology that is consistent with liberal progressive thought which many people who are noticing this trend are now tuning out Hollywood’s subversive assault on American values such as Christianity, Pro America, family, free speech, and Pro Life.

One of the most recent examples is the show “Peace Maker” Starring John Cena, to which is based on the DC comic “Peace Maker” and spinoff from the recent movie “Suicide Squad” which saw some reasonable success. John Cena if you remembered is the pro wrestler turned actor who in 2021 made public apologies on China’s social media ‘Weibo” for calling Taiwan a country which many Americans considered his profuse apologies as selling out to China and cowering when it came to standing up for free speech. Hollywood movies in recent times is focused on the second largest market for film releases, thus John Cena is not the only one in Hollywood who supports China over American values for the sake of appeasement. This would have been unheard of coming from a country that champions the protection of free speech some years ago. We won’t mention investments from Chinese nationalists buying up and acquiring Hollywood studios in recent years either, but its obvious what Master Hollywood is now trying to serve.

In the TV series itself, there is much reference to things like hating and killing White people and pushing the false narrative of “White Supremacy.”  There is also other innuendos about pushing anti pro American, populism, and forcing narratives of climate change, or the drawn characters of lesbians and Homosexuals to satisfy another quota for diversity inclusion which all seem pretty obvious of the forced woke culture narratives that writers of such shows insert into the dialogue of their scripts.

On the surface it might seem innocent in terms of reflecting the current disposition of the cultural issues that America is dealing with right now, however 20 plus years ago, I am not sure that such in your face forced contrived narratives would have gotten away without any backlash to what today’s films are trying to force down viewers throats.

The other aspect of “forcing people to changing their behaviors seems something that the CEO Larry Fink of Black Rock Investments would say, who also sits on the board of the World Economic Forum and in fact he did say that to which alarmed many who were paying attention. This would all seem is part of a much larger paradigm at work here to which media is being used as a conditioning tool upon the masses that are watching.

Given the recent developments of the results of previous presidential elections and Hollywood actors speaking up for being against people who voted for a certain candidate, the masks have come off to reveal Hollywood’s and their celebrities true political positions and their agendas, to the point they made a concerted effort to politicize their TV shows and movies through the use of inserted dialogues, situational scenes and promoting such idealizations on social media and other platforms to demonize conservatives and people of the right. Also given that other aspects of media culture such as sports the current trend has been focused on pushing false crisis of race, (BLM) immigration, transgenderism, gay rights, and anti America to the point more and more viewers are tuning out the subversive messaging that such MSM conglomerates are trying to broadcast and promote as being normal in the name of making progress.

Walt Disney in their latest protestations of a law recently passed in the state of Florida prohibiting teachers talking about sex to kindergarten through to third grade students is seeing active boycotts of the company’s efforts to overturn this law. In many parents views that are speaking up in opposition to Disney’s criticism of the law, is that it is Disney that is trying to promote sexual exploitation of young children through their produced shows and movies which concerned parents are now speaking up to point out that Disney is blatantly and purposely targeting children in order to hyper sexualized newer generations of innocent minds.

Another and latest example of subversive woke culture taking over films and TV shows is the Amazon studios for streaming service prime production of the remake of JRR Tolkien’s “The Hobbit and Lord of the rings” where being nclusive is the main objective to which practically rewriting the story itself to include black, and gay elves, and other contrived characters in order to satisfy the diversity quota that Hollywood is so obsessed with. Not only is the TV show production an attempt at revisionist story telling by taking one history’s greatest writers and turning into something that simply border line of a creative license gone wrong, but clearly sends the wrong message about how future productions while working in the movie industry is going to approach making films.  That merit based talent and casting specifics takes a back seat in order to be politically correct and meeting with imposed diversity quotas.

There was a time when movies and celebrities were venerated for the characters that they represented without so much knowing what their politics was. There was a time when ordinary people looked up to celebrities and respected them as being the example of living and achieving the American dream, as they were glamorous, refined, larger than life figures that attributed to inspiring generations of people to believe that anything was possible in life.  Now with the advent of social media, where they can connect with millions of fans feeds their dopamine rush and addictions when they get likes to their posts on places like Twitter and Instagram for saying stupid stuff. Whereas before there was social media there was sort of a wall between them and the public where their public image was protected by publicists and limited appearances to which little was known of them or their private life. In today’s celebrity cult, the veneer’s are peeled away revealing how little they know of the real world when they clumsily weigh in on political and social issues only to come off as preaching and pandering favors of the very people they look down upon and loath with fervent contempt. As a result they have become the source of endless memes on the Internet only to be mocked, ostracized, belittled for how dumb they appear to the public. Instead of maintaining the mystique of being a celebrity to adoring fans, they instead have an incessant need to feed their egos and seek attention, which ultimately reveals their shallow nature, and insecurities for the world to see. Today’s culture people have been able to spot phoniness whenever a celebrity tries talking about such issues they have no idea about and as a end result what the public sees they simply do not like it.

The whole cult of celebrity worship and in recent times revealing the dark sinister side of Hollywood, such status was inevitable that it would be dying on its own volition, if not for social media we probably would still be caught by our imaginations, but now that is but a distant bygone era. With the world changing around us where average ordinary common people are more concerned with real life issues such as paying the rent, affording high gas prices and putting food on the table there no longer is room for people to care about the whims of what celebrities and Hollywood stars are doing in their spare time and their red carpet expose at award shows. These are people that are not pundits, philosophers, doctors, engineers, leaders but entertainers. What should matter is the work that they do such as creating films that should distract their audiences from the stresses of everyday life, or create an escape from the real work not to berate them, insult or guilt them into thinking like they do.

In essence we are entering the post celebrity age, where no longer we are captured by the lure of being or envying the life of a Hollywood star. In an age where ordinary people who are not in need of hair stylists, advisors or have to pander to the soulless corporate conglomerate foregoing creative ideas in pursuit of profit, where one can now have a camera and an internet connection to create something authentic. Just as I said that the art of cinema is dying I suppose there is room for entertainers, performers, and artists who can do their own stuff and perhaps produce something that is more appealing than the woke garbage being attached to today’s mass media reemphasizing that it’s the work that goes into making art that should matter most. So in that regard there is still hope that what films next incarnation will be perhaps its something we can enjoy again, and completely different than what we are used to seeing.

The art of cinema as we are seeing in today’s movies is dying a slow death and on the alter of woke culture and forced diversity is where its being sacrificed. No longer is the approach to film making about original story telling and expressing it in the narrative format as an art form but more about profit and appeasing the fetishes of a mob bent on social justice and promoting the culture wars currently taking place in American media. Perhaps this will serve as a catalyst to where independent film makers will start rising to fill a void when movie goers and connoisseurs alike will begin to seek alternative entertainment sources then to continue watching Hollywood’s insufferable propaganda trashy shows ever again.
